    Can I accept Gift Cheques from another individual?
    Yes, you can accept a Gift Cheque from another individual. You must watch the person countersign the Cheque in the lower left corner and ensure that it matches the signature in the upper left. If the Gift Cheque has already been signed in both the upper and lower left, please call American Express at the number below before accepting the Cheque. After accepting a Gift Cheque from another individual, you may only deposit it to your own bank account. If you have questions about the validity of the Cheque, you should call American Express at 1-800-525-7641 in the United States.

     
    Can my order be canceled or refunded?
    Orders that have been funded cannot be canceled or returned.

     
    Do Gift Cheques ever expire?
    No, they will never expire.

     
    Do I need to sign Gift Cheques before giving them to recipients?
    No. Only the recipient should sign the Gift Cheque. Each Gift Cheque should be signed in the upper left corner immediately upon receipt. When the recipient cashes the Gift Cheque, a cashier should watch the recipient countersign the Cheque in the lower left corner.

     
    How are Gift Cheques cashed?
    When cashing a Gift Cheque, the recipient should countersign the Cheque in the lower left corner with a cashier watching and fill out the pay to the order of line. When the recipient first receives the Gift Cheques, the recipient should immediately sign the Gift Cheques in the upper left corner. If you encounter difficulties in cashing an American Express Gift Cheque, please encourage the merchant to call American Express for instructions at 1-800-525-7641 from within the United States. From outside the United States, the merchant can call an American Express Travelers Cheque Customer Service Center. 

     
    How long does it take to receive my order?
    Once payment is cleared, it will take up to 3 business days to process and fulfill your order. Delivery timing is dependent upon the shipping method you select. 

     
    Is there a fee to cash Gift Cheques?
    Normally, there are no fees to cash Gift Cheques. However, some banks and businesses may charge a fee.

     
    Is there a fee to purchase Gift Cheques?
    There is a per Cheque fee, although exact fees may vary depending on establishment.

     
    What delivery options do you offer?
    We offer delivery options ranging from ground shipping to next day shipping. Freight charges will be quoted based on the size of the order and the delivery method selected.  

     
    What if Gift Cheques are lost or stolen?
    If your Gift Cheques are lost or stolen, you should phone an American Express Travelers Cheque Customer Service Center as soon as possible. Service Centers handle claims for lost or stolen Cheques 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Telephone numbers to call and complete instructions on what you need to do if you lose your Gift Cheques are included with your purchase.

    Replacement Gift Cheques and refunds are available at American Express and partner locations. Refunds must first be pre-authorized by an American Express Travelers Cheque Service Center. Service Center personnel will assist customers in determining the best way to obtain a refund.

    If you need to contact American Express regarding lost or stolen Gift Cheques, you will be asked to provide the serial numbers of the Cheques in question. You should keep a record of the serial numbers separate from your Cheques.


     
    What methods of payment do you accept?
    We accept debit and credit cards from Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, wire transfer, ACH credit, or company check. Checks require a minimum hold of 5 business days, but may require a hold up to 10 business days. When you place the order, we will provide you with payment instructions based on the method selected.    

     
    When should the date field be completed?
    The recipient should fill in the date field, in the upper right corner, when using the Gift Cheque, just like a personal check.

     
    Where are American Express Gift Cheques accepted?
    In the U.S. American Express Gift Cheques can be used like cash at most retail locations, hotels, and restaurants.

     
    Where can I buy Gift Cheques?
    You can shop online and pay with debit or credit card from Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, wire, ACH credit, or check.

    Why can't I purchase more than $25,000 daily in Gift Cheques?
    American Express chooses to limit purchase amounts to protect our customers and ourselves against any unauthorized transactions.
